<english>הללויה Praise the Lord. O my soul, praise the Lord. With my soul I will sing to the Lord; with my [entire] being I will chant praises to my God. Place not your trust in munificent benefactors, in mortal man, for he has not the power to bring deliverance. Once his spirit departs, he returns to his earth; his plans come to naught on that very day. Fortunate is the man whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is set upon the Lord his God. He fashions heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; faithfully forever He keeps His promise. Justice He renders to the oppressed; food He gives to the hungry; those who are bound the Lord releases. The eyes of the blind the Lord opens; those who are bowed down the Lord makes erect; the righteous the Lord loves. Over the strangers the Lord watches; to the orphan and the widow He gives strength; and the way of the wicked He thwarts. Forever shall the Lord reign, your God, O Zion, throughout all generations. Praise the Lord.1</english>

<english>הללויה Praise the Lord. Sing unto our God, for He is good, for pleasant is He; praise befits Him. Jerusalem's rebuilder is the Lord; the dispersed of Israel He will gather. The broken-hearted He heals, and their wounds He binds up. The number of the stars He counts; to each of them He gives a name. Our Master is great and abounding in might; beyond reckoning is His understanding. The humble the Lord strengthens; the wicked He casts down to the ground. In gratitude lift your voices to the Lord; with a harp sing to our God. With clouds He covers the heaven; rain He prepares for the earth, and upon the mountains makes grass grow. Their food He gives to the cattle, to the young ravens which cry to Him. He has no desire for [those who place their trust in] the strength of the horse, nor any wish for those who rely upon the thighs [swiftness] of man. Those who fear Him He desires, those who long for His kindness. O Jerusalem, praise the Lord; Zion, extol your God. For the bolts of your gates He has strengthened; your children in your midst He has blessed. Peace He has made within your borders; with the finest of wheat He satiates you. He sends</english>
