Should fewer than nine men answer אָמֵן after the blessings, it amounts to a blessing uttered in vain. It is fitting to answer with בָּרוּךְ הוּא וּבָרוּךְ שְׁמוֹ whenever the chazzan says בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְהֹוָה."
