<english>התודה 6. The Thanksgiving-offering and the ram presented by a Nazir [at the termination of his vow] were sacrifices of lesser sanctity. They might be slain anywhere in the courtyard of the Bet Hamikdash. Two sprinklings of their blood were required [at opposite corners of the altar] so as to constitute four. These offerings, dressed for consumption in any manner, might be eaten anywhere in the city, by anyone, that same day and evening until midnight. <english>הבכור 8. Firstborn animal offerings, the cattle-tithe, and the Passover-offering were [also] sacrifices of lesser sanctity. They might be slain anywhere in the courtyard of the Bet Hamikdash. Their blood required only a single sprinkling, yet it had to be performed over against the base of the altar. They differed in their consumption: The firstling might be eaten solely by the Kohanim, whereas the tithe might be eaten by any person. [Both the firstling and the tithe] might be dressed for consumption in any manner, and consumed anywhere in the city during two days and one night. The Passover-offering, however, was to be consumed that night alone, and no later than midnight. None but those registered for it might eat it, and only in its roasted form.1</english>
