"text": "While at prayer, attend to the meaning of the words. Bear in mind that you stand before the Divine Presence. Banish any distracting thoughts, so the mind may remain focused on prayer. Prior to beginning the Amidah, step three paces back, then three paces forward. Say the Amidah quietly—but audibly—while standing with feet together. Throughout the Amidah, which ends on page 131, interruptions of any form are forbidden. Consult additional laws on page 589."
