<english>From the Ark two Torah scrolls are taken. Exodus 33:12 to 34:26 is read from the first scroll, after which Half Kaddish is said. The maftir, which recounts the sacrifices presented that day (Numbers ch. 29), is then read from the second scroll, after which the Haftarah follows.</english>

<english>Morning worship proceeds according to the ordinary Chol Hamoed rite. The two rings on the lulav's upper portion are taken off before Hallel is said. Once Hallel ends, the Hoshanot are said (page 368). In Chabad synagogues, every Torah scroll is withdrawn from the Ark and held there at the bimah. As on the preceding days, should every worshiper in the synagogue hold a lulav, the Torah scrolls are set upon the bimah. The Hoshanot belonging to Sukkot's first six days are said; after every hymn, the Hoshana Rabbah verse is uttered. Thereafter the Hoshana Rabbah hymn (לְמַעַן אֵיתָן) is said. During each hymn the bimah is circled (starting from the same point as on the preceding days), seven times in all. The remaining hymns (pages 375 ff) are then said, after which Complete Kaddish follows. Thereafter the five willow branches are struck against the ground five times, and the יְהִי רָצוֹן prayer is said. The Song of the Day is then said, after which Mourner's Kaddish follows.</english>
