          <english>Rabbi Yohanan taught: In every place you encounter the majesty of the Holy One, blessed be He, you likewise encounter His humility. This appears in the Torah, is echoed among the Prophets, and is declared a third time in the Writings. In the Torah it is written: “Because the LORD your God stands as God of gods and Lord of lords, great and mighty and awe-inspiring God, who neither favors persons nor takes a bribe.” Straight after this comes, “He champions the orphan’s and the widow’s cause, and loves the stranger, granting him food and clothing.” Among the Prophets it is echoed, as it says: “Thus speaks the One who is High and Exalted, who lives for ever and whose name is Holy: I dwell on high in a holy place, yet also with the contrite and lowly in spirit, to quicken the spirit of the lowly, and to quicken the heart of the contrite.” A third time it is declared in the Writings: “Raise a song to God, play music to His name, praise Him who rides the clouds – the LORD is His name – and rejoice before Him.” Straight after this comes: “Father to orphans and Justice of widows is God in His holy dwelling.”</english>

          </transliteration>
          <english>A song of ascents. Happy is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. When you eat the fruit of your toil, happy and fortunate are you. Within your house your wife shall be like a fruitful vine; around your table your sons like olive saplings. Thus shall the man who fears the LORD be blessed. From Zion may the LORD bless you; throughout your life may you behold the good of Jerusalem; and may you live to see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!</english>
