<english>Such were the psalms the Levites would chant in the Temple: On the week’s first day they would recite: “The LORD’s is the earth and everything it holds, the world and all who dwell therein.” On the second day they would recite: “The LORD is great and highly to be praised within the city of God, upon His sacred mountain.” On the third day they would recite: “In the divine assembly God stands. He delivers judgment among the judges.” On the fourth day they would recite: “Appear, God of retribution, LORD, God of retribution.” On the fifth day they would recite: “Raise a joyful song to God, our strength. Cry aloud to Jacob’s God.” On the sixth day they would recite: “The LORD is King: majesty is His robe; the LORD is clothed, girt with strength; the world stands firm; it cannot be shaken.” On the Sabbath they would recite: “A psalm, a hymn for the Sabbath day” — [meaning] a psalm and hymn for the age to come, for that day which shall be wholly Sabbath and rest unto life everlasting.</english>

<english>In the name of Rabbi Hanina, Rabbi Elazar said: The sages’ disciples multiply peace throughout the world, as it is said, “All your children shall be disciples of the LORD, and abundant shall be your children’s peace [banayikh].” Do not read banayikh, “your children,” but bonayikh, “your builders.” Lovers of Your Torah possess great peace; no stumbling block is theirs. Let peace dwell within your ramparts, and prosperity in your palaces. For my brothers’ and friends’ sake I shall say, “Peace be within you.” For the House of the LORD our God, I will seek your welfare.
