<english>A song. A psalm of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD and highly worthy of praise in the city of God, on His holy mountain – fair in elevation, delight of all the earth, Mount Zion on the northern flank, city of the great King. Within its citadels God is known as a stronghold. See how the kings allied themselves, advancing together. They looked, they were astounded, they panicked, they fled. Fear seized them there, like a woman in birth pangs, like ships of Tarshish shattered by an eastern wind. What we had heard, we have now seen, in the city of the LORD of hosts, in our God's city. May God keep it for ever, Selah! Within Your Temple, God, we meditate on Your love. As Your name is, God, so is Your praise: it reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice, let Judah's towns be glad, because of Your judgments. Circle Zion and go round it. Number its towers, mark its strong walls, regard its citadels, that you may tell a future generation • that this is God, our God, for ever and ever. He will lead us for evermore.</english>

<english>A psalm of Asaph. God takes His stand in the divine assembly. Among the judges He delivers judgment. How long will you give unjust judgment, showing favor to the wicked? Selah. Render justice to the weak and the orphaned. Vindicate the poor and destitute. Deliver the weak and needy. Save them from the wicked's hand. They neither know nor understand. They walk about in darkness while all the earth's foundations tremble. I once said, "You are like gods, sons of the Most High are you all." Yet you shall die like mere men, you will fall like any prince. • Rise up, O LORD, judge the earth, for every nation is Your possession.</english>
