          "english": "In the Sinai Desert the LORD spoke to Moses, in the second year's first month after their exodus from Egypt, saying, \"At its appointed time the children of Israel must bring the Pesaḥ offering. On the fourteenth day of this month, in the afternoon, it shall be offered at its appointed time; all its statutes and rules must be observed.\" And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, telling them to bring the Pesaḥ offering. And so they brought the Pesaḥ offering in the Sinai Desert, on the first month's fourteenth day in the afternoon; just as the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did.",

          "text": "The children of Israel must bring the Pesaḥ offering. In the book of Exodus, in addition to the Paschal sacrifice they offered in Egypt immediately prior to their departure, the Israelites were commanded to celebrate Pesaḥ only after arriving in the land of Israel (Ex. 12:25, 13:5). So this additional command was necessary to signal that it was to be celebrated also in their first year in the wilderness."
